Sands of time …

Time flies, like the birds it seems,

carrying beneath its wings, the joy and woes.

which the mind does again, bring back to life,

In the form of moments, that as memories froze.

Clouds of strength these moments are,

With linings dark – that misery casts .

They float in the sky our mind provides,

giving lessons of life that forever lasts.

New chances hide in, each moment fine,

To win life’s battles with aplomb.

The past makes us wiser, gives us strength divine,

To prevail over adversities, that once made us numb.

True, the hour passes by, unscathed,

But, leaves it’s scar on every soul.

Flowing like the sand in an hourglass,

Whose pace we can never control.

A moment squandered, can never come back,

And on the future, it does lay its mark.

Dreams remain dreams, and they never materialize,

Time once gone- it’s worth, we then, do realize.

Swiftly passes the moments of joy,

And all the pains with it does flow.

What remains are memories- coarse and fine,

That we choose to keep, or let go .

So wise it is, to leave behind the moments of sorrow,

And proceed with a smile, to welcome a new tomorrow.

To be like  ‘time’ and never glance behind,

Feeling every emotion it does unbind.

Moving incessantly, like an ever flowing river,

With the knowledge from experiences, that we get to nurture.

Difficult though, to fight the impression , time casts on our minds,

Yet, not impossible to move on, if optimism in ourselves we find.

Then, life is beautiful, we will surely feel,

And our true self, then, would unveil.

No fear will find way to our hearts,

And so will we a winner emerge.

Renewed with vigor and aspirations afresh,

Would we move on like the sands of time,

Being happy souls who, the content in living every moment, does embrace.
